Preparation

  • Wash the sweet potatoes under cold water to remove any dirt. Pat them dry with a kitchen towel.
  • Use a fork to poke several holes in each sweet potato to allow steam to escape during cooking.
  • Rub the sweet potatoes with a little olive oil. Sprinkle with salt and pepper to taste.
  • Preheat your air fryer to 380°F (193°C) for about 5 minutes.

Cooking

  • Place the sweet potatoes in the air fryer basket, ensuring they have enough space and are not overcrowded.
  • Cook the sweet potatoes for 30-35 minutes, flipping halfway through. Check for doneness with a fork.
  • Once cooked, carefully remove them from the air fryer and let them cool for a few minutes before slicing.

Serving

  • Slice the sweet potatoes open lengthwise and serve with Greek yogurt, butter, chives, maple syrup or cinnamon as desired.

Notes

Choose sweet potatoes of similar size for even cooking. You can experiment with seasoning for various flavor profiles. Store leftovers in the refrigerator for 3-5 days.
