Chicken and Marinade

  • 4 pieces boneless chicken thighs (skinless or with skin)
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • ½ teaspoon black pepper
  • ½ teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional for heat)

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Start by patting the boneless chicken thighs dry with a paper towel.
  • In a mixing bowl, combine the olive oil, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, dried oregano, salt, black pepper, and red pepper flakes if you choose to add them. Mix until you form a smooth marinade.
  • Coat the chicken thighs with the marinade. Make sure they are thoroughly covered for maximum flavor. Let them marinate for at least 20 minutes, or up to several hours in the refrigerator if you have time.
  • Preheat your air fryer to 400°F (200°C) for about 5 minutes.

Cooking

  • Place the marinated chicken thighs in a single layer in the air fryer basket.
  • Cook the chicken thighs for 15 to 20 minutes. Flip them halfway through for optimal cooking.
  • Check that the internal temperature reaches at least 165°F (74°C) for safe consumption.

Serving

  • Once cooked, remove the chicken thighs from the air fryer and let them rest for a few minutes before serving.

Notes

Store leftovers in an airtight container. Can be refrigerated for up to 4 days or frozen for up to 3 months. Reheat in air fryer for best texture.
