Instructions

Preparation

  • Begin by washing and cutting the cauliflower into bite-sized florets.
  • In a large bowl, combine flour, garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, salt, and pepper. Mix well.
  • Slowly add water or non-dairy milk to the dry mixture, whisking until you get a smooth batter.
  • Dip each cauliflower floret into the batter, ensuring it is fully coated and allowing excess batter to drip off.

Cooking

  • Preheat your air fryer to 400°F (200°C).
  • Lightly grease the air fryer basket with olive oil.
  • Place the battered cauliflower florets in the basket without overcrowding.
  • Cook for about 12-15 minutes, shaking the basket halfway through until they are golden brown and crispy.
  • While the cauliflower cooks, heat the buffalo sauce in a small saucepan until warm.
  • Once cooked, transfer the cauliflower to a large bowl and pour the warm buffalo sauce over them. Toss gently to coat.
  • Return the sauced cauliflower to the air fryer for an additional 3-5 minutes to set the sauce.

Notes

Serve with creamy dipping sauces like ranch or blue cheese. Garnish with fresh herbs or green onions for added color. Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to three days.
