Ingredients
  

Cauliflower Wings Base

  • 1 large head cauliflower, cut into bite-sized florets
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour (or gluten-free flour, if preferred)
  • 1 cup water
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • ½ teaspoon black pepper
  • ½ teaspoon cayenne pepper (optional, for heat)
  • 1 cup your favorite hot sauce or barbecue sauce

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Preheat your air fryer to 375°F (190°C).
  • In a large mixing bowl, combine flour, garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, salt, black pepper, and cayenne pepper. Whisk until blended.
  • Slowly add water to the dry mixture, stirring until you have a smooth batter.
  • Dip each cauliflower floret into the batter, ensuring an even coat. Let any excess batter drip off.

Cooking

  • Place the coated florets in the air fryer basket in a single layer, avoiding overcrowding. Lightly spray with olive oil to help crisp.
  • Cook the cauliflower for 12-15 minutes, shaking the basket halfway through to ensure even cooking. They should turn golden and crispy.
  • Once cooked, remove the cauliflower wings and place them in a large mixing bowl. Pour the sauce of your choice over the wings and toss until evenly coated.
  • Return the sauced wings to the air fryer for an additional 3-5 minutes for a nice glaze.

Notes

For extra crispiness, consider coating the florets in breadcrumbs after the batter. Use various sauces to customize the flavor.
