  • 4 to 6 pieces bone-in, skin-on chicken thighs Choose thighs for the juiciness they provide.
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil Used for coating the chicken.

Seasonings

  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1 teaspoon salt Adjust to taste.
  • ½ teaspoon black pepper
  • ½ teaspoon dried thyme
  • ½ teaspoon dried oregano

Preparation

  • Preheat the air fryer to 380°F (193°C) for about 5 minutes.
  • Pat the chicken thighs dry using paper towels to remove excess moisture.
  • In a bowl, mix together olive oil, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, salt, black pepper, thyme, and oregano.
  • Rub the seasoning mixture evenly over the chicken thighs.

Cooking

  • Place the chicken thighs skin-side down in the air fryer basket, ensuring they are in a single layer.
  • Cook for 15 minutes, then flip the thighs over so they are skin-side up.
  • Cook for another 10 to 15 minutes, checking for an internal temperature of 165°F (74°C).
  • Remove the chicken thighs from the air fryer and let them rest for a few minutes before serving.

Notes

Serve alongside steamed vegetables, rice, or a fresh salad. Consider marinating for enhanced flavor.
