  • 1 tablespoon aluminum-free baking powder Helps to achieve a crispy texture.
  • 1 teaspoon kosher or sea salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder (optional) Optional for added flavor.
  • 1/2 teaspoon smoked paprika (or regular paprika)
  • Olive oil or avocado oil spray For coating the basket.

  • 1/2 cup buffalo sauce

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Pat the chicken wings dry with paper towels.
  • In a mixing bowl, combine the baking powder, salt, black pepper, garlic powder (if using), and smoked paprika. Mix well.
  • Sprinkle the dry mixture over the chicken wings and toss to coat evenly.

Cooking

  • Preheat the air fryer to 400°F (200°C).
  • Spray the air fryer basket lightly with oil.
  • Place the wings in a single layer in the basket, avoiding overcrowding.
  • Set the timer for 10 minutes. After 10 minutes, flip the wings or shake the basket.
  • Continue cooking for an additional 8-10 minutes, until golden brown and internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C).
  • If desired, cook an additional 2-3 minutes for extra crispiness.

Serving

  • Toss the cooked wings in your favorite sauce or serve plain.
  • Serve with blue cheese or ranch dressing and fresh vegetable sticks.

Notes

Pat the wings dry to enhance crispiness. Use aluminum-free baking powder for best results. Customize spices as desired, and avoid overcrowding the air fryer for even cooking.
