Preparation

  • Wash and peel the russet potatoes under running water using a vegetable peeler.
  • Cut the potatoes into thin, uniform strips.
  • Soak the potato strips in cold water for at least 30 minutes to remove excess starch.
  • Drain the potatoes and pat them dry with a kitchen towel to remove moisture.
  • In a mixing bowl, toss the dried potato strips with olive oil, salt, and pepper until evenly coated.
  • Preheat your air fryer to 400°F (200°C).

Cooking

  • Arrange the seasoned potato strips in a single layer in the air fryer basket.
  • Cook the fries at 400°F (200°C) for 15-20 minutes, shaking the basket halfway through for even cooking.

Serving

  • Carefully remove the fries from the air fryer once they are golden brown and crispy.
  • Serve hot with your favorite dipping sauce.
