Ingredients
  

For the Breading

  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 large egg Beaten
  • 1 cup breadcrumbs (panko works best)
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ½ teaspoon black pepper

For the Pickles

  • 1 cup dill pickle slices Pat dry before breading
  • Cooking spray For air fryer basket

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Preheat your air fryer to 400°F (200°C) for about 5 minutes.
  • Pat the dill pickle slices dry with paper towels to remove excess moisture.
  • Set up a breading station: In one bowl, place the all-purpose flour. In another bowl, whisk the egg until well-beaten. In the third bowl, mix the breadcrumbs with garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, salt, and pepper.
  • Coat each pickle slice in flour, shaking off any excess.
  • Dip the floured pickle slice into the beaten egg, letting any excess drip off.
  • Coat the pickle slice with the breadcrumb mixture, pressing lightly to adhere.
  • Repeat the process for all pickle slices.

Cooking

  • Lightly spray the air fryer basket with cooking spray.
  • Arrange the coated pickles in a single layer in the air fryer basket.
  • Spray the tops of the pickles lightly with cooking spray.
  • Cook the pickles for about 10-12 minutes or until golden brown and crispy, flipping halfway through.
  • Remove the fried pickles and let them cool slightly before serving.

Notes

Serve fresh from the air fryer with dipping sauces like ranch, spicy mayo, mustard, or BBQ sauce. Experiment with seasonings for variation.
