Preparation

  • Peel the russet potatoes and grate them using a box grater or food processor.
  • Soak the shredded potatoes in cold water for about 30 minutes to remove excess starch.
  • Drain the potatoes and pat them dry using clean kitchen towels or paper towels.
  • In a mixing bowl, combine the shredded potatoes with olive oil, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, salt, and pepper, stirring well to coat evenly.

Cooking

  • Preheat your air fryer to 375°F (190°C).
  • Place the potato mixture in the air fryer basket in an even layer without overcrowding.
  • Cook for 15-20 minutes, shaking the basket halfway through for even browning.
  • Once golden brown and crispy, remove from the air fryer and transfer to a serving plate.
  • Garnish with chopped green onions or parsley if desired.
