  • 1 tablespoon olive oil Or another cooking oil.
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • Optional seasonings (e.g., garlic powder, paprika, cayenne pepper, cinnamon, or sugar) Customize to taste.

Preparation

  • Rinse the pumpkin seeds under cold water to remove any debris.
  • Pat the seeds dry with a kitchen towel or paper towels.
  • In a mixing bowl, combine the dried pumpkin seeds, olive oil, and salt. Toss until well-coated.
  • If using additional seasonings, add them to the bowl and mix well.

Cooking

  • Preheat your air fryer to 300°F (150°C) for about 5 minutes.
  • Spread the pumpkin seeds in a single layer in the air fryer basket.
  • Cook the seeds for 10-15 minutes, shaking the basket halfway through to prevent burning.
  • Once golden brown and toasty smelling, remove from the air fryer.
  • Allow to cool before serving.

Notes

To store, let cool completely before placing in an airtight container. Can keep at room temperature for about a week, refrigerated for a month, and frozen for up to six months.
