Preparation

  • Take the ribeye steak out of the refrigerator and let it rest at room temperature for about 30 minutes.
  • Preheat your air fryer to 400°F (200°C) for approximately 5 minutes.
  • Pat the steak dry with paper towels to remove moisture.
  • Drizzle olive oil over the steak and rub it evenly on both sides.
  • Mix together garlic powder, onion powder, salt, black pepper, and smoked paprika in a small bowl.
  • Season both sides of the steak with the spice mix, pressing gently to adhere.

Cooking

  • Place the seasoned ribeye steak in the air fryer basket.
  • Cook for about 10 minutes for medium-rare, flipping halfway through.
  • Adjust cooking time based on your preferred doneness: 8-9 minutes for rare, 11-12 minutes for medium, and 14 minutes for well-done.

Serving

  • After cooking, remove the steak from the air fryer and let it rest for 5 minutes.
  • Slice the steak against the grain and serve with your favorite sides.

Notes

For a gourmet touch, consider drizzling a homemade herb butter over your steak or serving with chimichurri sauce. Always let the steak rest for juicy results.
