Ingredients

Steak Ingredients

  • 2 pieces sirloin steaks, about 1 inch thick

Marinade Ingredients

  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 2 teaspoons garlic powder
  • 2 teaspoons onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon dried rosemary or your preferred herbs
  • 1 sprig fresh parsley for garnish (optional)

Instructions

Preparation

  • Pat the sirloin steaks dry using paper towels to ensure a good sear.
  • In a small bowl, mix olive oil, garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, black pepper, salt, and dried rosemary to make a marinade.
  • Rub the marinade evenly over both sides of the steaks and let them marinate for at least 15 minutes at room temperature.
  • Preheat the air fryer to 400°F (200°C) for about 5 minutes.

Cooking

  • Place the steaks in the air fryer basket, ensuring they do not overlap.
  • Cook the steaks for approximately 10-12 minutes for medium-rare, flipping them halfway through.
  • Use a meat thermometer to check the internal temperature: 130°F (54°C) for medium-rare, 140°F (60°C) for medium, and 150°F (65°C) for medium-well.

Serving

  • Remove the steaks from the air fryer and let them rest for about 5 minutes to redistribute the juices.
  • Slice against the grain, garnish with fresh parsley if desired, and serve.

Notes

For an even more flavorful steak, consider marinating for several hours or overnight. Use a meat thermometer to achieve desired doneness.
