Ingredients
  

To make the cookie dough

  • 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt

Preparation

  • In a mixing bowl, add the softened unsalted butter and granulated sugar. Beat until light and fluffy.
  • Crack the large egg into the butter-sugar mixture and pour in the vanilla extract. Mix thoroughly.
  • In a separate bowl, whisk together the all-purpose flour, baking powder, and salt.
  • Gradually add the dry mixture to the wet ingredients, mixing gently until a soft dough forms.
  • Preheat your air fryer to 320°F (160°C).
  • Scoop portions of dough and roll them into balls about the size of golf balls.
  • Place the dough balls in the air fryer basket with space between them.

Cooking

  • Air fry the cookies for approximately 8 to 10 minutes, or until golden around the edges.
  • Remove the cookies from the air fryer and allow them to cool on a wire rack.

Notes

For serving, consider topping with sprinkles or icing. Store in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 5 days, or freeze for up to 3 months.
