  • Start by washing and peeling the sweet potatoes. Slice them thinly using a mandoline or a sharp knife, aiming for about 1/8 inch thickness for even cooking.
  • In a large bowl, toss the sweet potato slices with olive oil, ensuring each slice is lightly coated.
  • Sprinkle salt, paprika, and black pepper over the sweet potatoes. Mix thoroughly to evenly distribute the seasoning.
  • Preheat your air fryer to 350°F (175°C) for about 5 minutes.

Cooking

  • Once preheated, place a single layer of sweet potato slices in the air fryer basket. Make sure not to overcrowd the basket to allow proper air circulation.
  • Cook the sweet potato slices for 12-15 minutes, shaking the basket halfway through to ensure even cooking.
  • Keep an eye on them in the final minutes to avoid burning; you want them crispy and golden.
  • Remove the chips from the air fryer and allow them to cool slightly on a wire rack to maintain crispiness.
  • Repeat the process with any remaining slices.
