Ingredients
  

For the Chicken

  • 1 lb boneless, skinless chicken thighs or breasts Thighs are preferred for more flavor.

For the Marinade

  • 1 cup teriyaki sauce (store-bought or homemade)
  • 2 tablespoons honey
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon ginger powder
  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil

For Garnish

  • 2 pieces green onions, chopped For garnish.
  • to taste Sesame seeds For garnish.

Preparation

  • In a bowl, combine the teriyaki sauce, honey, soy sauce, garlic powder, ginger powder, and sesame oil. Mix well until all ingredients are incorporated.
  • Add the chicken to the marinade, ensuring it is well-coated. Allow the chicken to marinate for at least 30 minutes, or up to overnight in the refrigerator for maximum flavor.
  • Preheat your air fryer to 375°F (190°C).

Cooking

  • Once preheated, arrange the marinated chicken in a single layer in the air fryer basket. Avoid overcrowding to ensure even cooking.
  • Air fry the chicken for about 12-15 minutes, flipping halfway through, until the internal temperature reaches 165°F (75°C).
  • Remove the chicken from the air fryer and let it rest for a few minutes.
  • Slice the chicken, drizzle any remaining marinade over the top, and garnish with chopped green onions and sesame seeds.

Notes

For the best results, let the chicken marinate overnight. You can adjust the sweetness of the sauce by modifying the honey content and enjoy various side dishes such as rice or stir-fried vegetables.
