Air Fryer Tortilla Chips

Delicious and healthier alternative to traditional fried chips, these air fryer tortilla chips are crispy, easy to make, and customizable with various seasonings.

Ingredients
  

For the chips

  • 10-12 pieces Corn tortillas Small or medium-sized
  • 1-2 tablespoons Olive oil or cooking spray For coating
  • to taste Sea salt
  • to taste Optional seasoning (chili powder, garlic powder, cayenne pepper)

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Preheat your air fryer to 350°F (about 175°C).
  • Stack the corn tortillas and cut them into triangles.
  • Place the tortilla triangles in a large bowl, lightly drizzle olive oil or use cooking spray, and toss to coat.
  • Sprinkle sea salt and any optional seasoning over the tortillas and toss again.

Cooking

  • In batches, place tortilla chips in the air fryer basket in a single layer.
  • Cook the chips for 6-8 minutes, shaking the basket halfway through.
  • Remove the chips once they turn golden brown and crispy. Let them cool on a wire rack or a paper towel.

Notes

Cut chips evenly to ensure even cooking. Don’t overcrowd the air fryer. Stale tortillas yield hard chips. Store in an airtight container to maintain crunch.
