  • 2 pieces tuna steaks (about 6 oz. each)
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • 1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice
  • to taste fresh parsley for garnish optional

Preparation

  • Pat the tuna steaks dry with a paper towel.
  • In a small bowl, mix olive oil, salt, pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, and smoked paprika to create a seasoning blend.
  • Brush both sides of the tuna steaks generously with the seasoning mix.
  • Preheat your air fryer to 400°F (200°C) for about 3 minutes.
  • Place the seasoned tuna steaks in the air fryer basket without overlapping.

Cooking

  • Cook the tuna steaks for about 6 to 8 minutes for medium-rare, adjusting the time based on your preferred doneness.
  • Once cooked, remove the steaks and drizzle with fresh lemon juice.
  • Let them rest for a couple of minutes before slicing.
  • Garnish with fresh parsley if desired.

Notes

For extra flavor, consider marinating the tuna in olive oil and lemon juice before cooking. Allow tuna to rest after cooking to retain moisture.
