Ingredients
  

For the Meatballs

  • 1 pound ground turkey Lean ground turkey is recommended.
  • 1/2 cup breadcrumbs Use fresh breadcrumbs for better flavor.
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese Can substitute with mozzarella or feta for different flavors.
  • 1/4 cup chopped fresh parsley
  • 1 large egg Acts as a binder.
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning Can adjust to taste.
  • to taste cooking spray Use to prevent sticking.

Preparation

  • In a large mixing bowl, combine the ground turkey, breadcrumbs, Parmesan cheese, parsley, egg, garlic, onion powder, salt, pepper, and Italian seasoning.
  • Mix the ingredients together until just combined, avoiding overmixing to prevent tough meatballs.
  • Preheat your air fryer to 400°F (200°C) for about 5 minutes.
  • Shape the turkey mixture into 1-inch meatballs.
  • Lightly spray the air fryer basket with cooking spray to prevent sticking.
  • Place the meatballs in the air fryer basket in a single layer, ensuring they are not touching.

Cooking

  • Cook the meatballs in the air fryer for 10-12 minutes, turning halfway through, until they are golden brown and cooked through.
  • Use a meat thermometer to check that the internal temperature has reached 165°F (74°C).

Notes

These meatballs are great served with pasta, in a sub, or as an appetizer with dipping sauces. They can be stored in the refrigerator for 4-5 days or frozen for up to three months. Reheat in the air fryer for best results.
