Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Preheat your air fryer to 400°F (200°C) for about 5 minutes.
  • Peel the butternut squash, cut off both ends, slice it in half lengthwise, and scoop out the seeds.
  • Chop the squash into uniform bite-sized cubes.
  • In a large bowl, toss the squash cubes with olive oil, salt, black pepper, garlic powder, paprika, and ground cumin if using.

Cooking

  • Place the seasoned squash cubes in a single layer in the air fryer basket.
  • Cook for about 12 to 15 minutes, shaking the basket halfway through.
  • Check for doneness by piercing a cube with a fork; it should be tender but still firm.
  • Remove the squash from the air fryer and garnish with fresh herbs if desired. Serve warm.

Notes

For extra crispiness, blot the cubes dry and do not overcrowd the air fryer. Experiment with different spices for flavor variations.
