  • 8 ounces cream cheese, softened Ensure it is at room temperature for easier mixing.
  • 1 cup crab meat, drained and shredded Imitation crab can be used as an alternative.
  • 1/4 cup green onions, finely chopped Can substitute with other herbs if desired.
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 package wonton wrappers
  • to taste salt and pepper Adjust according to preference.

Cooking Spray

  • as needed Cooking spray or oil, for spraying To ensure a crispy texture.

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • In a mixing bowl, combine the softened cream cheese, crab meat, chopped green onions, garlic powder, Worcestershire sauce, salt, and pepper. Mix everything well until you have a smooth filling.
  • Take a wonton wrapper and place about 1 teaspoon of the crab mixture in the center.
  • Moisten the edges of the wonton wrapper with a little water.
  • Fold the wrapper over to create a triangle shape and press the edges firmly to seal. Optionally, fold the two outer corners of the triangle to the center to create a classic crab rangoon shape.
  • Repeat this process with the remaining wrappers and filling.

Cooking

  • Preheat your air fryer to 375°F (190°C).
  • Lightly spray the air fryer basket with cooking spray. Place the crab rangoon in a single layer, ensuring they don’t touch each other.
  • Spray the tops of the crab rangoon with cooking spray.
  • Cook for about 8-10 minutes or until they are golden brown and crispy, flipping halfway through to ensure even cooking.
  • Remove from the air fryer and let them cool slightly before serving.

Notes

Serve with a range of dipping sauces like sweet and sour or soy sauce. They can also be garnished with fresh herbs or lime wedges.
