Ingredients

Dough and Filling

  • 2 cans refrigerated crescent roll dough
  • 1 cup packed brown sugar
  • 1 tablespoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 cup melted butter divided

Icing and Decoration

  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 2 tablespoons milk or water
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 pack Sprinkles in purple, green, and gold for decoration

Instructions

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  • In a small bowl, mix the brown sugar and ground cinnamon together and set aside.
  • Unroll one can of crescent roll dough onto the prepared baking sheet, pressing the seams to seal.
  • Brush half of the melted butter over the dough.
  • Sprinkle the brown sugar and cinnamon mixture evenly over the dough.

Assembly

  • Unroll the second can of crescent roll dough and place it on top of the filled dough, pressing the seams to seal.
  • Brush the remaining melted butter over the top layer.
  • Using a sharp knife, cut the dough into strips, twist each strip, and form it into a ring shape, pinching the edges to secure.

Baking

  • Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, or until the cake is golden brown.

Icing

  • While the cake cools, combine the powdered sugar, milk or water, and vanilla extract in a bowl, mixing until smooth to create the glaze.
  • Drizzle the glaze over the cooled cake and top with vibrant sprinkles.

Notes

For variations, consider adding cream cheese mixed with chocolate chips or fruit preserves as fillings. Top with nuts or coconut flakes for texture. Always allow the cake to cool before adding glaze.
