Ingredients

  • 2 pieces Chicken cutlets Use thin cutlets for even cooking.
  • ½ cup All-purpose flour For coating.

  • 1 piece Egg (beaten) For binding the coating.
  • 1 cup Breadcrumbs Use Panko for extra crispiness.
  • Oil as needed Oil for frying Use enough to cover the skillet base.

For the hot honey glaze

  • ¼ cup Honey For sweetness.
  • 2 tablespoons Hot sauce Adjust according to taste.

Preparation

  • Season the chicken cutlets with salt and pepper.
  • Set up a breading station with three shallow dishes: one with flour, one with beaten egg, and one with breadcrumbs.

Breading

  • Dredge one seasoned cutlet in flour, then dip it in the beaten egg, and finally coat it with breadcrumbs.
  • Repeat the process for the second cutlet.

Cooking

  • Heat oil in a skillet over medium heat.
  • Fry the cutlets for 3-4 minutes on each side until golden brown.
  • Ensure not to overcrowd the skillet; fry in batches if necessary.

Preparing the glaze

  • In a small bowl, mix together honey and hot sauce.
  • Adjust the hot sauce based on your spice preference.

Serving

  • Remove cutlets from the skillet and drain on paper towels.
  • Drizzle the hot honey glaze over the cutlets just before serving.

Notes

Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days. Reheat in the oven to retain crispiness.
