Preparation

  • Preheat your air fryer to 375°F (190°C).
  • In a large mixing bowl, combine ground beef, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and black pepper. Mix gently to avoid overworking the meat.
  • Divide the meat mixture into equal portions and shape them into round patties, about ¾ inch thick.
  • Lightly grease the air fryer basket with cooking spray or oil.
  • Place the patties in the air fryer, ensuring they are not touching.

Cooking

  • Cook the burgers for 10-12 minutes, flipping halfway through for even cooking.
  • Check the internal temperature; it should reach 160°F (71°C).
  • If using cheese, add a slice to each patty during the last minute of cooking.
  • Toast the burger buns in the air fryer for about 1-2 minutes while the patties cook.

Assembly

  • Assemble the burgers on toasted buns with your preferred toppings.
  • Serve with sides like sweet potato fries or a salad.

Notes

To elevate your dinner, consider offering a variety of toppings and condiments on the side. For perfect burgers, let them rest for a couple of minutes after cooking to retain juices.
