Preparation
Rinse the mixed greens under cold water and dry thoroughly to prevent sogginess.
In a large salad bowl, combine the washed greens, drained mandarin oranges, thinly sliced red onion, and choice of nuts.
If using feta cheese, sprinkle it in at this stage.
Dressing
In a separate bowl, whisk together the olive oil, apple cider vinegar, honey or maple syrup, and a pinch of salt and pepper.
Drizzle the dressing over the salad ingredients.
Use tongs or two forks to gently toss the salad, ensuring even coating of the dressing on all ingredients.
Serving
Serve immediately or chill for a few minutes before serving.
For an elegant presentation, serve in individual bowls or plates.
