Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 325°F (160°C). Grease an 8x8-inch baking dish or line it with parchment paper.
  • In a mixing bowl, beat the softened cream cheese and sugar together until smooth and creamy.
  • Add the sour cream and vanilla extract to the mixture and beat until well combined.
  • Incorporate the eggs one at a time, mixing until fully blended after each addition.
  • Gradually add the all-purpose flour and salt, mixing until just combined.
  • Pour the batter into the prepared baking dish, smoothing out the top with a spatula.

Baking

  • Bake for 30-35 minutes or until the edges are lightly golden and a toothpick inserted into the center comes out with a few moist crumbs.
  • Remove from the oven and let it cool in the dish for 10-15 minutes before lifting it out using the parchment paper.
  • Let it cool completely on a wire rack, then slice it into squares.

Notes
