Ingredients
  

For the Cookie Dough

  • 1 cup butter, softened
  • 3/4 cup brown sugar Packed
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 3/4 cup Oreo cookies, crushed
  • 3/4 cup chocolate chips

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • In a large mixing bowl, cream together the softened butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until smooth and creamy.
  • Beat in the large egg and vanilla extract until well combined.
  • In a separate bowl, whisk together all-purpose flour, baking soda, and salt.
  • Gradually mix the dry ingredients into the wet mixture until just combined.
  • Gently fold in the crushed Oreo cookies and chocolate chips.
  • Drop heaping spoonfuls of cookie dough onto a lined baking sheet, spacing them about 2 inches apart.
  • Bake for 10-12 minutes, until lightly golden around the edges.
  • Allow cookies to cool for a few minutes on the baking sheet before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely.

Notes

For a longer shelf life, you can store cookies at room temperature for up to one week or refrigerate for up to two weeks. Dough can also be frozen for later use.
