Dip Layers

  • 1 can refried beans
  • 1 cup sour cream Use fresh sour cream for best flavor.
  • 1 cup guacamole Freshly made or store-bought.
  • 1 cup salsa Choose your favorite style.
  • 1 cup shredded cheese (cheddar or Mexican blend) Use your preferred cheese.
  • 1/2 cup chopped tomatoes Fresh tomatoes add flavor.
  • 1/4 cup sliced olives Black or green olives can be used.
  • 1/4 cup green onions, chopped Add more for extra flavor if desired.

Preparation

  • Gather all your ingredients and select a clear glass dish for assembly.
  • Open the can of refried beans, scoop the beans into your dish, and spread them evenly across the bottom.
  • Pour the sour cream over the refried beans and smooth it out using a spatula or the back of a spoon.
  • Gently spoon the guacamole on top of the sour cream and spread carefully to avoid mixing the layers.
  • Spoon a layer of salsa onto the guacamole.
  • Sprinkle the shredded cheese over the salsa.
  • Evenly distribute the chopped tomatoes on top of the cheese.
  • Finish with sliced olives and chopped green onions on top.

Serving

  • Serve the dip with crunchy tortilla chips, either in small bowls for guests or directly from the dish.
  • Offer optional toppings like jalapeños, cilantro, or additional avocado on the side for customization.

Notes

For best results, chill the dip in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes before serving. Keep it covered to maintain freshness.
