  • ¾ cup granulated sugar
  • ¾ cup brown sugar, packed
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 large eggs

Instructions

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Line two baking sheets with parchment paper.

  • In a large mixing bowl, cream the softened butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until light and fluffy (about 2-3 minutes).
  • Add the vanilla extract and eggs to the butter-sugar mixture and beat until combined.
  • Gradually mix in the dry ingredients, stirring until just combined.
  • Fold in the chocolate chips gently to ensure even distribution.
  • Scoop dough onto the prepared baking sheets, leaving about 2 inches between each scoop.

Baking

  • Bake in the oven for 10-12 minutes, or until the edges are just golden and the centers look slightly underbaked.
  • Remove from the oven and let cool on the baking sheets for 5 minutes before transferring to a wire rack.

Notes

For extra flavor, consider adding nuts or a mix of chocolate chips. Store cookies in an airtight container for best freshness.
