  • 4 pieces boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 1 piece onion, finely chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese

Seasoning and oil

  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon dried parsley
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon paprika
  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder

Garnish

  • to taste Fresh parsley for garnish (optional)

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  • In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the chopped onions and minced garlic, cooking until they become translucent, about 5 minutes.
  • In a mixing bowl, combine sour cream, paprika, salt, black pepper, onion powder, and garlic powder. Stir in the cooked onion and garlic mixture.

Baking

  • Place the chicken breasts in a baking dish. Spread the sour cream mixture evenly over the top of the chicken.
  • Sprinkle shredded cheddar cheese over the sour cream mixture.
  • Bake for 30-35 minutes or until the chicken is cooked through and the cheese is bubbly.
  • Remove from the oven and let it rest for a few minutes before serving. Garnish with fresh parsley if desired.

Notes

Ensure not to overcook the chicken; it should reach an internal temperature of 165°F (74°C). Adjust spices to your preference, and cover with aluminum foil if the cheese starts to burn.
