Ingredients

Main Ingredients

  • 1 pound ground turkey
  • 4 cups broccoli florets
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce (or tamari for gluten-free)
  • 1 tablespoon honey or maple syrup
  • 1 tablespoon sriracha or your favorite hot sauce
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon ginger, minced
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 2 cups Cooked rice or quinoa for serving

Instructions

Preparation

  • Prepare your rice or quinoa according to the package instructions.
  • In a large skillet or wok, heat the olive oil over medium-high heat.
  • Once hot, add the minced garlic and ginger, cooking for about 30 seconds until fragrant.
  • Stir in the ground turkey, breaking it apart with a spatula. Cook for about 5-7 minutes, until browned and cooked through.

Cooking

  • Add the broccoli florets and stir everything together. Sauté for another 3-5 minutes, until the broccoli becomes vibrant green and slightly tender.
  • In a small bowl, mix together soy sauce, honey or maple syrup, and sriracha. Pour this sauce over the turkey and broccoli mixture.
  • Stir well to combine, allowing the flavors to meld for another 2-3 minutes. Season with salt and pepper to your liking.
  • Serve the turkey and broccoli mixture over the bed of rice or quinoa, and enjoy your delicious bowl!

Notes

The bowls can be personalized by adding toppings such as sliced green onions, sesame seeds, or crushed red pepper for extra heat. For a zesty finish, squeeze lime or lemon over the top.
