Ingredients
  

Cookie Base

  • 1 cup unsalted butter Melted and browned
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour Do not overmix
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt

Add-ins

  • 1 cup toffee pieces
  • 1 cup chocolate chips

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • Melt butter in a saucepan over medium heat until golden brown, then set aside to cool.
  • In a mixing bowl, combine browned butter with brown sugar and granulated sugar until smooth.
  • Beat in eggs and vanilla extract until light and fluffy.
  • In a separate bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, and salt.
  • Gradually combine dry ingredients with wet ingredients until just mixed.
  • Fold in toffee pieces and chocolate chips.

Baking

  • Scoop rounded dough onto a lined baking sheet, 2 inches apart.
  • Bake for 10-12 minutes until edges are golden, centers remain soft.
  • Cool on baking sheet for a few minutes, then transfer to wire rack to cool completely.

Notes

Serve warm with milk or create ice cream sandwiches. Store in an airtight container for up to a week, or freeze for up to three months.
